I help organizations to increase their corporate agility. It is what inspires me. For me, organizations are living 'organisms'. They are continually subject to the dynamics of time and environment. That is precisely why agility is so important; to anticipate constantly changing conditions.
And the people in an organization, together, determine agility, the adaptive capacity. Agility depends on how professionals approach their work and whether they get the best from themselves and each other. It is also important that professionals are actively engaged in their own development. This involves personal development, as well as team development and organizational development. Because in my view people together, in self-organization, give shape to growth and development of the organization as a whole.

In my view, effective leadership focuses on the development of individuals, teams and organizations. This involves continuously finding the correct approach, which is different for each situation. The aim is to define, and keep alive, the collective ambition. And to keep the focus sharp and the results in mind. Keeping the gaze outward. To tune the processes to the desired results. And in close cooperation, to make optimal use of each other's differences, the diversity within the organization.

I work based on analysis. What's really going on, what does the environment look like, what is the desired outcome? I always analyze the situation together with the client. I have no monopoly on wisdom, neither does the client usually, but together we will come a long way.
I deploy various instruments, depending on the client’s needs, on professional, team and organizational level (among others AEM cube©, Act cube ©, DISC, iScreen).

To exchange views on how to increase the agility of your organization, you can call me or e-mail: elmira.nijhuis@flexian.nl. 06-22898431. It would be my pleasure to meet with you. I love analysis, I am a people-person, and I’m always captivated by how organizations function. After twenty-five years I’m still fascinated to help organizations and people to increase their agility.
